Terms of Service
Last updated: June 30, 2026
These terms explain how SaltyShelf works and what users agree to when creating an account, browsing listings, applying to sell, or submitting listings.
SaltyShelf's Role
SaltyShelf is a marketplace for reef equipment, coral, and reef hobby items. Sellers create listings and buyers review those listings. Unless SaltyShelf says otherwise in writing, users are responsible for their own listings, communications, shipping decisions, and transaction choices.
Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and secure. Do not share passwords, impersonate another person, create misleading accounts, or use SaltyShelf to evade marketplace rules.
User Responsibility
Users are responsible for checking item details, photos, condition, shipping expectations, seller information, buyer information, and legal restrictions before completing a transaction. Reef livestock and aquarium equipment can involve risk, so users should quarantine livestock, inspect equipment, and make careful decisions.
Marketplace Rules
Users must follow SaltyShelf policies, including marketplace rules, seller rules, shipping rules, refund and dispute rules, livestock DOA rules, and prohibited items rules. SaltyShelf may review, reject, remove, limit, suspend, or close accounts, listings, or marketplace activity that appears unsafe, misleading, abusive, or noncompliant.
Final Decisions
SaltyShelf may make final platform decisions about seller approval, listing approval, reports, prohibited conduct, account access, and marketplace safety. These decisions help protect the beta marketplace and do not create a guarantee of a specific transaction outcome.
Acknowledgment
By using SaltyShelf, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms and the related policies linked below.
